Find graphics card drivers – the right software for your card

In order for your graphics card to work properly, you need the right driver for it. There are several ways to find it. For example, you can search for suitable drivers via the Windows Device Manager. In addition, you can also find the latest drivers on our website.

How to find the right drivers for your GPU

Almost all hardware parts have one thing in common – they need drivers. There are several ways to find the right driver for your graphics card. One option, for example, is the device manger integrated in Windows. This gives you the option to let Windows automatically search for drivers.

• To open the Device Manager, right-click on the Windows icon and select the appropriate entry from the menu.
• Alternatively, you can find the Device Manager by opening the Control Panel of your computer. This works, for example, via the Windows search.
  There, select the category “Hardware and Sound”.
• Under the item “Devices and Printers” you will then find the item “Device Manager”.
• Under “Graphics Card”, select the card for which you want to find or update drivers. Click on it with the right mouse button and select “Update driver” in the submenu.

Windows will then automatically search online for the appropriate driver for the device. This method might not work very well however.

How to find the right driver online

Normally, you can also find the appropriate drivers for your graphics card on the website of the respective chip manufacturer. Here you also have the possibility to download and use beta drivers. In addition, the manufacturers offer software solutions via which it is possible to download drivers and keep them up-to-date. At NVIDIA, this tool is called Geforce Experience.
